Job Description

Looking for a Real Estate Assistant  Runner to help with the day-to-day activities of our commercial and residential real estate company. We’re a highly motivated and energetic group looking for someone that will fit with our culture. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.

As a Real Estate Assistant Runner, the ideal candidate will be a jack of all trades and willing to assist with whatever comes up in day-to-day operations. We offer real estate services, property management, and renovation services, so there is a wide scope of work to be done. The tasks asked of you will depend on your experience level and capability of handling the work which means there is also space to grow.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Real Estate license is a plus
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to drive to locations around Southern California
  • MUST use own vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed
  • Ability to work from a computer at home when you are not out driving around
  • Must have your own computer, wifi, and cell phone that you are willing to use for work
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability
  • Capacity to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to focus
  • Understanding of surveys, legal documents, deeds, etc.
  • Proficiency with apps, such as Google Sheets, Gmail, Dropbox, Excel
  • Experience in research, banking, mortgages, or title is a plus
  • Experience researching public records in a courthouse
  • Able to work independently and complete within a given deadline

Responsibilities

  • Install/retrieve bandit signs
  • Order and/or pick up supplies
  • Distribute door-hangers, flyers, brochures, and business cards to local communities
  • Lights data entry and administrative work
  • Run errands as needed
  • Assist with personal tasks as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Research real estate properties in various courthouses.
  • Take orders for delivering important documents to and from courts.
  • Research real estate properties by the internet, phone, email, fax, or mail to obtain the required assessment and property tax information from various resources
  • Look through document dockets to ensure that the correct ones are being delivered
  • Ascertain that the right recipient is handed over the documents by inquiring about the identity
  • Take signatures on receipts and ensure that delivery information has been communicated to the office
  • Handle photocopying and document scanning duties along with managing correspondence
  • Perform research work to determine case precedents and provide written reports to legal assistants
  • Take orders for and perform verification activities for real estate and title records
  • Handle filing and records keeping duties by ensuring that all information is handled in a secure and confidential manner
  • Perform data entry duties by entering important information in-office data and checking it for accuracy
  • Receive and distribute mail to intended recipients within the office
  • Support our acquisitions team by bidding on houses at courthouse steps and other auction locations
